I have an Edwardian property, not listed, with lime plastered interior walls, but the plaster has been painted in the past with modern paint.
I want to get the modern non-breathable paint removed and replaced with a breathable alternative to help preserve the lime plaster.

I don’t really want to have all the lath and plaster removed.

Can this be done or is the latter the only solution?
