We have a stone kitchen floor that is about 200 years old. When we bought the property the surveyor’s report specifically said not to seal the floor. The building is undergoing a major refurbishment and I have been asked whether I’d like the floor oiled or waxed. I had planned just to clean it. I have two concerns, firstly I don’t want to use a product that seals or damages the floor, secondly, we have a dog so I don’t want the floor slippery under-paw. Can anyone advise me?
