Lord corresponded with more than 60 Titanic survivors and their relatives, resulting in poignant accounts of the disaster from passengers of all classes and crew members. He was given numerous personal artefacts by his interviewees, and objects on display include these silk embroidered evening slippers worn by survivor Edith Russell (right).
