Update May 2011

We have made reasonable progress with our lock cottage renovation this month, but not as much as I had hoped as our main brick layer has been ill. Get well soon Geoff!

Steve has seen it as a good opportunity to catch up on the joinery! All windows (new and replacement) have been made, painted (as per conservation requirements) and glass fitted ready for installation.

Progress this Month

Extension

  • Continuing to lay the outer skin of bricks, nearly up to 1st storey height.
  • Window templates created for the extension to build
  • Drainage has gone in on the road side of the extension

Others

  • The new windows have been manufactured and painted
  • Glass and the window furniture has been fitted
  • The inside walls of the fireplace have been rendered
