Lock Cottage Renovation

Is it July already!?

Our bricky is back and moving the extension forwards again. We are working towards putting the roof on early next month….fingers crossed!

Steve has been progressing the joinery and we now have a complete set of exterior doors ready for painting and glass fitting.

Progress This Month

Extension

  • Outer skin of bricks is now up to 1st storey height
  • Blocks and insulation up to 1st storey height
  • Started to build up the internal wall and chimney

  • The doors have been designed to open up completely to give an ‘inside-outside’ feel to the extension

Alison Moses and her partner are currently renovating an 18th century Lock Cottage in Staffordshire.

Currently the property has been stripped out, back to the orginal brick and they are waiting for planning permission before starting the extension. They intend on putting as much of the original features back into the property as possible and have already taken the ceiling down to reveal the old purlings.

Alison and her partner will be completing most of the renovation work themselves and expect this to take a year to 18 months before completion.
