Advice please (Carpet)

Please help if you are able,recently I used double sided adhesive tape to secure a Turkish carpet to a laminate wood floor as carpet was slipping. I now wish to remove the adhesive tape without damage to the carpet or laminate.What product should I use? Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Silicon spray is good for

Silicon spray is good for removing sticky things but we only have experience with plastic surfaces (stickers on a motor home).

Please try on a hidden small corner of your laminate floor if the silicon spray leaves stains.
If no stains and easy to clean, you can use the spray to slowly remove the adhesive tape.
