I am refurbishing a farmhouse and want to install flat fronted radiators, but my builder isn't keen because they don't give off enough heat and cost more. Is this right?

Generally builders often aim to push their clients in the easiest direction (for them), so you'll need to be insistent.
This is handy info. I'm having a similar problem with radiators at the moment. Much as I love the old cast iron ones, my hallway is quite narrow and they just take up too much room!
