Originally the range was developed for use in historic buildings with clients including English Heritage, The National Trust and many listed building owners. However, Ashfield Traditional products are increasingly being used with dramatic visual effect in contemporary buildings of both traditional and modern design.

The Ashfield Traditional handmade wrought iron is beautifully and traditionally hot-forged on an anvil by blacksmiths.

The hot wrought iron is then quenched in pure beeswax to create an inimitable patina enhancing the natural colours of forged iron.
