Tailor-made kitchens: Design

A good bespoke company should have the technical ability to create truly unusual pieces. Ideally with its own workshops, or a strong relationship with a fine furniture maker, it should offer curved cabinets, hand-carved cornicing, and match architectural features to those already in your home. Beyond that, you’ll be paying for the design experience and talent of an established firm, and this shouldn’t be undervalued. A skilled designer can turn the fortunes of a dark, uninspiring space, and come up with ideas and solutions that you may never have considered. They will also know the limitations of particular materials, plus have an understanding of all the latest kitchen technology and gadgets.
